NHIAA Roundup: Bedford, down early, comes back to win

Down by 21 points early in the third quarter, the Bedford High School boys’ basketball team rallied for a 57-53 victory at Concord on Tuesday night.
Concord outscored Bedford 21-6 in the second quarter, but the Bulldogs had a 38-21 advantage in the second half. Connor Crowley (18), Max Chartier (16) and Nik Mokas (13) led the Bedford (3-2) offense. Concord (2-4) received a game-high 26 from sophomore Rylan Canabaro.
Windham 51, ConVal 35: In Windham, the Jaguars (3-4) held the Cougars to one field goal in the fourth quarter. Jacob Teixeira led Windham with 15 points, nine of which were scored in the fourth quarter. The Jaguars closed the first half on a 7-0 run and outscored ConVal 24-13 in the final two quarters. Ben Henry and Mather Kipka each scored eight for ConVal.
Hollis/Brookline 70, Souhegan 46: In Hollis, Matt Dowling scored 21 and Matt Simco added 16 to lead the Cavaliers (4-1). Hollis/Brookline led by four after one quarter and took control by outscoring Souhegan 25-14 in the second. Anderson Geffard led Souhegan (3-4) with 13. Max Leonard had nine and Jordan LauQuan tossed in eight.
Kennett 80, West 72: In Manchester, the Eagles made 11 3-pointers and improved to 3-4 in Division II. Trey Snowden led Kennett with 17 points, followed by Foster Piotrow with 13. The Blue Knights’ Gob Gob led all scorers with 24 points, and Angel Rivera added 17. West (2-5) trailed by 19 in the second quarter before rallying within six in the final quarter.
Belmont 61, Campbell 56: In Litchfield, Jonah Crema (15 points) and Joaquin Heller (12) led the Cougars, who dropped to 4-2. Belmont is also 4-2.
Manchester Central 62, Keene 41: In Keene, Ding Nyiag scored 15 points to lead a balanced attack for Central (4-1). Erik Cortijo Rodriguez (12), Jesus Milan (nine) and Yansel Reyes (nine) also contributed. Keene dropped to 0-6.
Inter-Lakes 49, Moultonborough 44: In Meredith, sophomore Laker forward Eli Swanson scored 28 points as Inter-Lakes dropped the Panthers (5-4) despite 20 points and 10 rebounds by Moultonborough senior forward Reese Swedberg.
Goffstown 49, Bishop Brady 46: In Goffstown, Kelly Walsh tossed in a team-high 10 points and Livvy Brannen, Jess Edmonds and Emma Strong each finished with eight for the Grizzlies (5-4). Bishop Brady received 13 points from Sarah Doherty and 12 from Lauren Roy.
Windham 56, ConVal 33: In Peterborough, senior Kaleigh Walsh led the Jaguars with 21 points. Freshman Sarah Dempsey added a career-high 16 points. Windham improved to 7-1; ConVal is 2-6.
