Psychic Lauren Rainbow says she draws energy from audiences to bring messages from the other side.

Ever wish you could hear from a deceased family member or friend just one more time?

Maybe you can.

Internationally known psychic medium John Holland and nationally recognized medium Lauren Rainbow will share a stage Saturday at The Music Hall in Portsmouth.

The 7 p.m. show will feature each using their own style of communication with what they call “spirit” to bring validation and messages to members of the audience from their loved ones on the other side.

Holland, who lives on the Seacoast, also works as a radio host and is bestselling author of “Power of the Soul,” “Psychic Navigator,” “Born Knowing,” “The Spirit Whisperer: Chronicles of a Medium.” His new book, “Bridging Two Realms,” follows this month.

Rainbow, who lives in Bedford, has released two meditation CDs, “Connect with your Guides” and “The Centered Heart.” She works as an alternative healer in many modalities including Usui Reiki, integrated energy therapy and alchemical healing.

With more than 30 years of combined experience, and given the venue — a beautiful, historic theater — Holland says that he expects spiritual energy levels to be high.

“This theater is the perfect venue for what we do. So much positive energy and laughter has happened there over the years,” he says. “Historic places can magnify the ability to communicate ... I expect it will generate great connections and amazing messages.”

Rainbow agrees, saying that sometimes larger audiences emit a collective energy, actually making it easier for her to receive individual messages from spirit.

“For some reason, with larger audiences, there is greater openness and energy vibe in the room,” she says. “The audience is all there with their hearts open, and messages and information just flows easier and becomes very clear.”

The key to a successful reading is having an open mind.

“You never know who will come through,” he says. “So, you need to be open to more than just the person you want to hear from.”

Rainbow says that whether people believe messages are possible or if they are just curious or there supporting friends, she hopes they walk away knowing loved ones on the other side are OK.

Not everyone will get to connect with a loved one who has passed, but messages to other people in the audience can be meaningful.

“Spirit is brilliant,” she says. “A message for someone four rows over can touch your heart and be exactly what you needed to hear. So, don’t be afraid to give this a try.”
