Against SB 193

February 12. 2018 6:17PM

To the Editor: I request that our elected officials at the State House seriously consider acting against SB 193 for two important, fundamental reasons.

I don’t believe my and/or public tax dollars should support religious-leaning education.

I don’t believe my and/or public tax dollars should support schools where there is no requirement to accommodate and mainstream any and all students as is the case in public schools.

Above and beyond these two reasons, there is a strong chance that this bill may well set up a system by which, over time, the public schools become holding tanks for those who are disenfranchised/limited physically, mentally, and/or financially. I am very concerned about our New Hampshire public education system.

I appreciate their kind consideration and look forward to the action they take in this regard.
