Manchester police seek help identifying glasses thief

Manchester police are asking the public for help identifying a man who they said stole more than $3,500 worth of glasses from the LensCrafters store on South Willow Street Saturday morning. 



MANCHESTER — Police are hoping the public can help them identify a man they said stole more than $3,500 worth of glasses from the LensCrafters/Sunglasses Hut store on Saturday.

According to a release, the man entered the 1500 South Willow St. store about 11:30 a.m. and began trying on sunglasses and walking around the store before walking out with several pair of sunglasses. Police said he came back two hours later and did the same thing.

The store manager told police the man, who had a white bandage on his lower lip, had stolen 18 pairs of glasses.

Police ask anyone with information or who can identify the man to call Det. Scott Ardita at 792-5506, referencing Case No. 18-2146.
