NH Business Newsmakers: Velcro names Garutti president for Latin America

BOSTON — Velcro Companies hired Paulo Garutti to serve as president of Latin America. He will be the company’s senior business leader for the region and will be based in Canelones, Uruguay.

Over the past six years Garutti started the Brazilian business for Branson Ultrasonics, a division of Emerson Electric, and later was placed in charge of marketing and sales for its Latin America region.

Velcro Companies, which manufactures fastening products, maintains its corporate office in Boston; its American headquarters is in Manchester, N.H.

Sylvester profiled in small business report

Jutras named development director at Boys & Girls Club

MANCHESTER — The Boys & Girls Club of Manchester promoted Natalie Jutras from director of annual giving to director of development. She will oversee the nonprofit’s annual campaign, donor relations, and foundation activities, and will assist with corporate partnerships.

Her promotion follows the recent retirement of Brian Tremblay.

Harris joins Sig Sauer as media director

NEWINGTON — Sig Sauer hired Joel Harris as director, media relations and communication. His duties will include management of Sig Sauer’s shooting sports initiatives and Team SIG, which include world class professional shooters Max Michel and Lena Miculek. Harris will report to Allen McCormick, vice president of marketing.

Mendoza joins Bernstein Shur

MANCHESTERKristin Mendoza joined the Manchester office of Bernstein Shur as a shareholder. Mendoza, who will also maintain a presence in Nashua, joined the law firm’s business practice group. She previously practiced out of her own firm, Millyard Tech Law, and prior to that at a large New Hampshire-based law firm.

St. Mary’s hires Beck as vice president

MANCHESTER — St. Mary’s Bank hired Michael Beck as vice president, wealth management, for St. Mary’s financial services program located at the credit union. Before joining St. Mary’s, Beck served as vice president, wealth management, at RTN Financial & Retirement Group in Waltham, Mass.

Franklin Savings promotes Lamontagne

FRANKLINBrian Lamontagne was promoted to assistant branch manager of Franklin Savings Bank’s Gilford office. Lamontagne joined the bank in July 2016 as a personal banker at the main office in downtown Franklin.
