DURHAM — A Milton man has been indicted on multiple burglary charges, accused of breaking into the bedrooms of seven Durham women to steal underwear.

Frederick Apt, 25, told police he entered the bedrooms at night to steal underwear.

The indictments allege Apt broke into the bedrooms between Sept. 1 and Oct 26. Six incidents involved residents at 15 Mill Road with another at 17 Mill Road.

Police arrested Apt Oct. 26 after being called by a resident who woke at 3:50 a.m. to discover him in her bedroom, according to court documents.

Prior to his arrest, Apt allegedly broke into the Freedom Café at 10 Mill Road, according to the indictments. He was charged with burglary for allegedly entering the business at night with the intent to commit theft.

Apt also is accused of entering residential units on the University of New Hampshire campus.

Apt is not a UNH student.

Apt will be arraigned March 1 in Strafford County Superior Court in Dover.
