High School Roundup: Pinkerton beats Central/West

Five goals in the opening period set the pace in the Pinkerton Academy of Derry boys' hockey team's 9-4 win over Manchester Central/West on Saturday at JFK Coliseum. The Astros (15-3) finished their scoring in the second period, taking a 9-3 lead into the third.
Ty Riviere led a group of eight goal scorers for Pinkerton with two goals. Other scorers for Pinkerton were Gennaro Marra, Joe Marra, Nick Trask, Pat Hare, Jon Last, Landon McClure and Jack Normand. Matt Gilliland stopped 21 shots for Pinkerton.
Central/West (1-17) got two goals from Will Hebert while Brendan Courtney and Nate Duplessis each tallied one score.
Concord 7, Bishop Guertin 4: At Everett Arena in Concord, Colin Kastle had a hat trick and the Tide locked up the top seed in the Division I tournament with the win. Shane Riley, Derek Kelleher and Matt Hauschild also scored for Concord (16-2). Pat Madden, Jack Johansen, Aaron Pratt and Ryan Flynn scored for the Cardinals (11-6-1).
Kennett 3, John Stark/Hopkinton 2, OT: In Conway, sophomore Riley Murphy scored at 4:06 into overtime as the Eagles finished their season 17-1 with a win.
Kennett goalie John Biggio stopped 28 shots in the victory, while John Stark/Hopkinton's Jameson Bourque had 30 saves.
Kennett led 1-0 after the first period and 2-1 after two after senior Caleb McPherson scored a pair of goals.
Stark (13-3-2) received goals from Brett Patnode and Paul Molnar.
Colby Coutere and Trevor Olivier assisted on Murphy's game-winning goal.
Windham 5, Goffstown 2: At The Ice Center in Salem, Phil Tsoulakas scored twice to lead Windham (16-2). Jake Aleksa, Matt Crowley and Alek Tunik had one goal each for the Jaguars.
Goffstown (14-4) got an unassisted goal from Max Lajeunesse and a power-play marker ny Brett Branscum from Michael Fortin and Brett Lassonde.
Max Daly made 23 saves for Windham. Goffstown goalie Kyle LaSella had 20 saves.
Monadnock/Fall Mountain 6, Sanborn 2: At Keene Ice in Keene, Josh Roy scored twice to lead Monadnock/Fall Mountain (14-4) to the win. Eric Chase had a goal and an assist. Lincoln Blodgett, Dominic Dow and Jackson Lepisto also scored for the Huskies, who got three assists from Greg Chase. Isaac Jasinski got the win in goal.
Cam Vose and Luc LeBlanc each had a goal and an assist for Sanborn (6-12).
Keene 11, Spaulding 2: At Rochester Ice Arena in Rochester, Owen Haas notched two goals and three assists, and Zach Mooers, Ben Brown and Marcin Maleski each had two goals and an assist for the Blackbirds.
Keene (14-1-1) got a goal and two assists from Tim Greenwood, and one goal and one assist from Joseph Walsh and Peter Haas.
Garrett Langis scored two goals and Ryan Ellis had two assists for Spaulding (4-14).
Exeter 9, Lebanon/Stevens 0: In Lebanon, Carissa Towlson notched five goals as the Blue Hawks finished their regular season at 16-1-1. Sarah Gallo, Meredith Madden, Abby Cooper and Delaney Hyde had Exeter's other goals while Izzy Day needed 13 saves for the shutout. Lebanon/Stevens finishes at 8-10.
Bishop Guertin 10, Manchester Central 1: At Skate 3 in Tyngsborough, Mass., Brianna DeFelice led the Cardinals (13-5) with four goals. Ashley Killen and Emma Wallat each notched a goal an two assists. McKaela Meaney, Allyson Pollard, Hayley Kastner and Grace Goyette also scored. Britney Pearson made nine saves. Central finishes 0-18.
