Those who donate $25 to Seacoast Area Feline Education & Rescue can have a photo of their cat posted on the organization's website.

HAMPTON - Seacoast Area Feline Education & Rescue, known as SAFER, has two fundraisers underway this month, including an online "St. Catrick's Day" celebration of cats.

SAFER is encouraging cat owners to send in a photo of a favorite feline, which the group will post to its website for a $25 donation. The photos will be on display throughout March.

To make an online donation via PayPal, go to www.safercats.com and use the donate button or mail a check and photo to SAFER, P.O. Box 1531, Hampton, NH 03843. Those who donate online may email the photo afterward to info@safercats.com, referencing your name and cat's name.

In the other fundraiser, Robert's Maine Grill in Kittery, Maine, will donate a portion of proceeds from its community suppers on Tuesdays, March 6 and 13, to SAFER.

The restaurant hosts these community suppers from September through May to benefit designated charities. The suppers, which start at 4 p.m., offer a $16 three-course menu. The restaurant's regular menu also is available. For more about the suppers and the restaurant, located at 326 Route 1, go to robertsmainegrill.com.

The nonprofit SAFER is funded exclusively through donations. The all-volunteer organization is dedicated to the well-being of abandoned or feral cats and kittens in the Seacoast area. To date, SAFER says, the organization has rescued, medically cleared and placed in homes more than 3,600 cats.
