BOSTON — Honor Flight New England, currently in its 10th season, is looking forward to its 50th flight.
The organization will be sending a group of veterans to the nation’s capital for the day on Saturday, April 21.
The buses will pull up to terminal A of Boston Logan International Airport in Boston that day at 6:30 a.m. The public is invited to assemble at the airport in time to see off our heroes at their departure, and to welcome them back home at 10:25 p.m. that night after their return.
The heroes who will be on the historic flight would love to see “50th” signs, flags, students, scouts, first responders, cadets, soldiers and riders at the terminal.
The New Hampshire Union Leader last month named Honor Flight New England Founder Joseph Byron as the 2017 recipient of the Maurice McQuillen award, which recognizes service to veterans.
