LEBANON – Voters said no Tuesday to a nearly $30 million district-wide multi-school building renovation project.
The vote to approve the $28,932,000 Lebanon School District Modernization Plan failed 768 to 820. The plan included renovation and construction projects at Mount Lebanon School, Hanover Street School, Lebanon Middle School and Lebanon High School and included new entrances at these schools and a new auditorium at the high school.
Voters did approve the proposed $43 million operating budget, 1,022-574.
The annual school meeting drew 1,631 of the city's registered 8,467 voters.
Voters also approved all zoning amendments in the municipal election Tuesday.
