NHIAA Roundup: Londonderry boys' lacrosse now 2-0

Mike McAlister scored three goals to lead the host Londonderry boys’ lacrosse team to a 10-4 victory over Nashua South on Thursday.

Aidan Dennis had two goals and an assist for Londonderry (2-0), James Cranmer scored twice, and Nate Andrews and Anthony Federico scored. Patrick Murphy made 14 saves

Drew Fleury, Joseph Bodi, Garrett Fleury and Tyler Bernard scored for South. Devin Linscott notched two assists for South (0-1). Nathan Radin made seven saves.

Nashua North 7, Merrimack 6: At Merrimack, Todd Redman had three goals and two assists, Martin Flaherty scored two goals, and Troy Bottari had two goals and an assist for North in its first win of the year. Ryan Palmer made 12 saves for North. Jordan Petrocelli, TJ Fasano and Jay Lanigan all scored twice for Merrimack.

Girls’ lacrosse

Windham 17, Spaulding 0: At Rochester, Ryane Farrell scored seven goals and assisted on three more in the Jaguars’ win. Maggie Farrell scored five and assisted on one, Madi Connelly scored three and assisted on four, and Chloe Mazcuba notched three assists. Alex Perkins made four saves for the winners.

Hopkinton 17, Derryfield 16: In Manchester, Olivia Strong netted seven goals and added two assists for Derryfield, and Cali Bishop added six goals and three assists. Lucy Licata chipped in three goals.


Derryfield 6, Epping 0: At Manchester, the Cougars’ Charlie Lynch and Brendan Sheehan combined on a three-hit shutout. Lynch went 4 1/3 innings, allowing three hits and striking out nine. Sheehan allowed no hits and struck out six in 2 2/3 innings. Ridge Gonzales went 2-for-3 with an RBI, and Brian Adie had a two-run single for Derryfield (1-1). Epping is 1-1.

Nashua North 7, Salem 3: At Nashua, Casey Lane doubled home three runs as part of a six-run sixth inning for the Titans. Lane had two hits and drove in four. Trevor Kelly earned the win with three innings of scoreless two-hit relief. Matt Soldano had two hits, and Jake Emerson and Matt Bergeron had RBIs for Salem.
