High School Roundup: Patnode's four-hitter lifts Generals

Brett Patnode thew a four-hitter, striking out 10 and walking two in John Stark’s 2-1 win over ConVal on Friday in Weare.
Patnote also doubled and scored the Generals’ first run. Aaron Robertson led the offense by going 2-for-4 with a RBI and threw a runner out stealing from behind the plate. Noah Greene knocked home the other Stark run.
Bedford 10, Keene 0: In Bedford, Grant Lavigne cracked a three-run homer in the first inning to set the rout in motion for the Bulldogs. Lavigne was 4-for-4 overall with two doubles to go along with his homer. Tim Saltzman picked up the win on the mound for Bedford. Keene slipped to 0-2.
Londonderry 7, Winnacunnet 0: In Hampton, the Lancers (1-1) were paced by Dak Johnson’s six innings of three-hit ball. At the plate, Londonderry scored four times in the first to support Johnson. Dylan Walsh came away with three hits and three RBIs overall for the winners while Reece Manor added two RBIs. Luca Danos had two of four hits for Winnacunnet (0-2).
Dover 9, Alvirne 3: In Hudson, the Green Wave (1-2) got four hits and three RBIs from Jared Turgeon while Jake Casey earned the win on the mound. Ryan Coleman also provided two hits for Dover. Hayden Callery drove in two for Alvirne (0-2) while Felice Ciardiello registered three hits.
Pelham 8, Laconia 6: In Pelham, Jake Kirane’s two-run single in the sixth gave the Pythons (2-0) a lead for good. Pelham scored four times in the sixth. Reagan Brunelle added two hits and an RBI for the Pythons, which got two more RBIs from Pat Millstone. Ryan Dee went 3-for-4 with three RBIs for Laconia (1-1).
Coe-Brown 9, Kingswood 3: In Northwood, Luke McCusker tossed six scoreless innings for the Bears, who scored six runs in their half of the seventh to leave no doubt. McCusker scattered eight hits and struck out six. Brady Johnson (two RBIs) and Jake Rich (one RBI) each collected three hits for Coe-Brown (1-1). Kingswood is 0-1.
Winnacunnet 6, Londonderry 2: In Londonderry, Nicole Basil’s two-run homer keyed a five-run seventh for Winnacunnet (3-0). She went 2-for-3 and scored twice. Hannah Thompson went 3-for-4 with an RBI. Lauren Misiaszek went 2-for-3 and scored a run in the sixth that at the time put the Lancers (1-1) ahead 2-1. Maci Harkovich went the distance for Spaulding, allowing five hits and striking out five. Ila Brown took the loss for the Lancers, as she allowed eight hits, walked two and struck out nine.
Pinkerton 19, Nashua South 2: In Derry, Amanda Lindquist drove in five runs and Alyssa DiMauro knocked in four for the Astros in a five-inning win. Lindquist, Di Maura and Khalyiah Ellis went 3-for-3. Jackie Cerri also had three hits. Emaline Wood earned the win and also drove in two runs. Erica Frothingham had the only RBI for South, which amassed five hits.
Salem 12, Nashua North 1 (5 inn.): In Salem, the Blue Devils cruised to 2-0 on the season behind Brianna Marino’s efforts at the plate and in the circle. Marino produced two hits and two RBIs while striking out five across five innings. Abbey Cail added three hits and two RBIs for the Blue Devils. Elizabeth Deck’s RBI single brought home the lone run for North (1-2).
Timberlane 6, Manchester Memorial 4: In Manchester, the Owls scored twice in the eighth to win. Jillian Aziz earned the win in relief of Lexy Howard.
Emily Philbert, McKenna Gladysz and Taylor Wilson had hits in a two-run Memorial rally in the fourth. Alyssa Soucy and Ashley Godzyk doubled in the sixth for two more runs. Soucy took the loss, going 7 2/3 innings, striking out five and walking four.
Souhegan 8, Windham 7 (9 inn.): In Amherst, the Sabers and Jaguars both extended the game with late rallies before the Jaguars got the last laugh on a game-winning single in the ninth. Maddie Lamar had two RBIs for Souhegan (2-0) while Emma Hudson posted two hits. Peyton Gravell (three RBIs) and Aislinn Milner (two RBIs) each homered for Windham (1-1).
Laconia 14, Trinity 1: At Laconia, Nicole Calder had the lone goal in Trinity’s first-ever varsity girls’ lacrosse game. Kevynn Noettner made seven saves for the Pioneers.
Londonderry 16, Keene 3: In Keene, Catie Derhak’s nine-point game pushed the Lancers (1-1) to their first win of the season. Derhak scored six times and added three assists. Maddy Walden (three) and Meghan Jackes (two) were other multi-goal scorers for Londonderry. Keene is 0-1.
Bedford 13, Nashua South 4: At Bedford, South had two goals and an assist from Bailey Morin, a goal and an assist from Sarah Signorello and one goal from Liz Harrington. Abbey Rowe made 16 saves for South.
Bishop Guertin 21, Hanover 12 (Thursday): In Nashua, Brian Cameron and Sam Prunier scored four goals each for the Cardinals (2-0), who led 15-5 at halftime. Cameron added five assists. Sean Cameron tallied three goals, and Drew Hailey scored twice. Graham Penfield scored five goals for Hanover (0-3).
Derryfield 13, St. Thomas Aquinas 3: In Dover, the Cougars had the game in hand early, going up 10-0 at the end of three quarters. Eric Mayer posted five assists to go with three goals while Robbie Dowst and John Anderson each contributed a hat trick for Derryfield (2-0). Cougars goalie Avry Truex stopped 12 shots. Tim Bouchard (one goal, one assist) was one of three scorers for the Saints
Laconia 7, Trinity 4: At Manchester, Ryan Etzo scored three goals and Dillon Brown added one for Trinity (1-1). Jimmy Kosiarski had two assists and Mike Etzo had one. Ethan Messner made 13 saves and Eli Buck won 11 of 15 faceoffs. Laconia is 2-0.
ConVal 8, Campbell 2: In Litchfield, Nick McCarthy and Jake Hartwell scooped up six ground balls apiece for the Cougars. Tommy MacDonald offered a boost for Campbell as well. ConVal improved to 2-0.
Goffstown 11, Oyster River 9: In Durham, three players posted three goals or more to lead the Grizzlies (1-0). Nick Mason set the pace for Goffstown with four goals and assist while Devin Young and Ben O’Brien each came away with hat tricks. Oyster River (0-2) had Max Litchfield go for six goals.
Coe-Brown 8, Gilford 6: In Gilford, Cole Hodgdon’s five goals and 11 saves by goalie Zac Sheehan pushed the Bears to 1-1 on the season. Gilford slipped to 0-2.
Keene 3, John Stark 2: Junior middle blocker Myles Bergin filled up the score sheet with 11 aces, 18 kills, five blocks and 20 digs for the Blackbirds (1-1). Classmate Jared Pollock, an outside hitter, added four aces, eight kills, two blocks and four digs, and sophomore libero Rob Greenwood had an ace, an assist and 19 digs. John Stark is 0-3.
Pinkerton 3, Londonderry 0: At Derry, Brian Castle led the 3-0 Astros with 29 assists. Hunter Hazard had 13 kills and Sean Galusha notched three blocks. Londonderry is 0-2.
