The Manchester Monarchs are moving on.

The team’s leading scorer, Jordan LaVallee-Smotherman, potted a second-period goal and the Monarchs added a pair of empty-net goals in the final minute to beat the host Reading Royals 3-0 to sweep their ECHL North Division semifinal series four games to none.

LaVallee-Smotherman, who had the winning goal in overtime on Monday in Game 3, scored at 7:50 of the second period, with assists from Matt Marcinew and Zac Lynch.

The Monarchs will have to wait for their next playoff opponent. In the other division semifinal, Adirondack took a 3-1 series lead over Worcester with a 2-1 victory on Wednesday night.

Lynch and Sam Kurker added the insurance goals in the final minute.

Goalie Charles Williams made 31 saves for his first shutout of the series. John Muse made 30 saves for Reading.
