College Roundup: Arnold hits milestone for KSC

Senior Hunter Arnold became the eighth player in Keene State men’s lacrosse history to record 150 career goals in the Owls’ 25-6 defeat of Plymouth State on Thursday afternoon in Little East Conference action.
Dave Wiedenfeld of Londonderry led the Owls (7-4, 4-0 Little East) with three goals, five assists and five ground balls.
Arnold had five goals and two helpers. Jon Nassif and Jordan Caito of Londonderry chipped in four goals, one assist and four ground balls.
For the Panthers (6-7, 3-1 Little East), Griffin Jacobson tallied a hat trick and Connor Delea of Manchester added one goal, five ground balls and one caused turnover.
Senior Mathew Howe of Bedford made eight saves for the Owls, while J.J. Tinney and Cameron Eddy came on in relief. For Plymouth State, Zel Kerkel of Loudon made eight saves in the loss.
SNHU 3, St. Michael’s 1 (8 inn.); SNHU 5, St. Michael’s 0: At Colchester, Vt., Maddy Barone allowed one run over eight innings in game one, and Sarah Lavallee of Candia closed out the day with a four-hit shutout in the Penmen’s sweep.
Lavallee also homered in the second game, her 10th of the season and 35th of her career, which ties Kate Stanley for the most in SNHU history.
Britrany Perdigao had three hits and the Penmen (31-9, 14-6 Northeast-10) passed 30 wins for the third time in five seasons.
