HOOKSETT — A 60-year-old Auburn man was charged with drunk driving, second offense, after police said his car rear-ended another vehicle on Londonderry Turnpike Wednesday evening.

Robert Purcell was driving a 2014 Subaru Outback northbound just after 6 p.m. when his car hit a 2007 Honda Civic stopping at a traffic light at Whitehall Road, according to police.

No one was injured.

Purcell was arrested after a field sobriety test. He refused a breath test at the Hooksett Police Department, officials said.

Purcell was released on $4,000 personal recognizance bail, and faces an April 26 arraignment in the 6th Circuit Court Hooksett District Division.
