A four-run seventh inning helped the New Hampshire Fisher Cats secure a 9-4 victory over the Binghamton Rumble Ponies at NYSEG Stadium in Binghamton, N.Y., on Tuesday night.
The Fisher Cats scored twice in both the first and sixth innings and also drove in a run in the second to take a 5-3 lead into the seventh frame.
Levi Michael’s sacrifice fly in the eighth inning brought home Binghamton’s final run.
Bo Bichette logged his first-ever two-triple game and Cavan Biggio went 2-for-3 with two runs scored and an RBI for New Hampshire (12-5).
Vladimir Guerrero Jr. went 1-for-4 with two RBIs and a run scored and Jonathan Davis also went 1-for-4 with a home run, three RBIs and a run scored for the Fisher Cats.
With his two RBIs, Guerrero Jr. set a Fisher Cats record for most RBIs in the month of April (19).
Jordan Romano (3-0) earned the win, allowing three earned runs on four hits and four walks alongside four strikeouts.
New Hampshire scored six earned runs on nine hits against losing pitcher Andrew Church (0-3), who also struck out two over 6 1/3 innings.
Tim Tebow went 2-for-2 with two walks, a run scored and an RBI for Binghamton (7-9).
