NHIAA Roundup: Milford's DeAngelis pitches no-hitter; Pinkerton's Davis reaches milestone

Milford High’s Jenna DeAngelis, a sophomore right-hander, pitched a no-hitter on Monday, leading the unbeaten Spartans to a 12-0 victory at Hollis/Brookline in Division II softball action.
DeAngelis, who had pitched a pair of one-hitters coming into the game, struck out the first nine batters and finished with 13 K’s. She nearly had a perfect game, walking a batter with two outs in the sixth.
DeAngelis chipped in two hits and three runs batted in. Milford (12-0) also received big days from Cora Holtshouser and Amanda Atkinson (both 3-for-4) and Stephanie Bishop, who went 2-for-4 with three runs scored.
Hollis/Brookline dropped to 3-7.
Londonderry 9, Alvirne 1: In Londonderry, Alivia Proulx went 3-for-3 with a home run and four RBIs while Ila Brown went 2-for-4 with a home run and five RBIs for the Lancers (13-1). Brown also earned the win in the circle, allowing one run on five hits and two walks alongside nine strikeouts. Courtney Marioles went 2-for-3 with a solo home run for Alvirne of Hudson (7-6).
Concord 5, Dover 0: In Dover, Abby Rochette pitched a three-hitter for Concord (11-3), striking out 17 batters. Rochette and teammate Autumn Nudd both logged two hits. Dover dropped to 1-11.
Spaulding 6, Pinkerton 4: In Rochester, a four-run fourth inning powered Spaulding to victory. Brittany Foucher went 3-for-5 with two runs scored for the Red Raiders (12-2). Hannah Sundberg and Bri Janulewicz each had two hits for Pinkerton Academy of Derry (10-5).
Bedford 6, Merrimack 3: In Merrimack, Erica Barley went 3-for-3 at the plate and picked up the save in the circle for Bedford (6-7). Lindsey Hiu drove in all three runs for Merrimack (3-9).
Keene 13, Bishop Guertin 8: In Nashua, Megan Healey had four hits, including a home run, and three RBIs and Emily LaBounty registered three hits, including a home run and a double for Keene (11-4). Reese Earle and Emma Bartlett both added two hits for the Blackbirds. Bishop Guertin fell to 2-11.
John Stark 10, Goffstown 4: In Goffstown, John Stark of Weare (10-2) hit two home runs in the win. Grizzlies pitcher Shannon Gifford allowed four walks and struck out 11 batters. Teghan Coyle went 2-for-3 and Gifford went 2-for-4 at the plate for Goffstown (10-3).
Pembroke 16, Bow 2 (6 inn.): In Bow, Pembroke recorded 20 hits, including four each from McKaylee Loomis, Rachel Denoncourt and Olivia McCarty. Chloe Carigan allowed four hits and struck out five en route to the win. Bow fell to 2-10.
Windham 15, Manchester West 0 (5 inn.): In Manchester, Abby Bedient, Jasmine Moskowitz and Amelia Williamson combined to pitch the two-hit shutout for Windham (8-4). Grace Bono went 3-for-4 with three runs scored and Makayla Panich went 3-for-4 with two runs scored and two RBIs for the Jaguars. Brittany Emery logged one of two hits for West (2-10).
St. Thomas Aquinas 4, Coe-Brown 3 (9 inn.): In Dover, Abbey Bass earned St. Thomas (9-2) the win with a walk-off home run. It marked her second home run of the contest. She also struck out 17 batters in the circle. Coe-Brown Northwood Academy fell to 7-4.
Campbell 7, Conant 1: In Litchfield, Campbell (10-0) logged 10 hits, including two each from Mary Kuczkowski, Cassidy Gibbons and Riley Gamache. Olivia Byers earned the win after allowing three hits and striking out eight. Conant of Jaffrey is 8-3.
Pelham 25, Trinity 2 (5 inn.): In Manchester, Madison Burke and Lanna Pierce both had four hits and Julia Vawter added three hits and six RBIs for Pelham (7-5). Marianna Colantuono had a hit and an RBI for Trinity (2-9).
Londonderry 5, Alvirne 4: In Hudson, Londonderry plated three runs in the seventh inning to earn the comeback triumph. Brandon Fish went 2-for-5 with an RBI for the Lancers (5-8).
Londonderry’s Travis Peabody allowed one hit and one walk alongside four strikeouts over four innings of relief. Anthony Ferraro pitched scoreless ball over the final two innings for the win. Grady Hudson, Hayden Callery, Evan Beals and Ryan Santos each had a hit for Alvirne (3-10).
Pinkerton 2, Spaulding 0: In Rochester, Pinkerton Academy of Derry (11-3) scored both its runs in the sixth inning. Cam Walsh, Connor Jenkins, Jacob Unkles and Brady Day each had a hit for the Astros. Robbie Creteau logged two hits for Spaulding (6-7).
Nashua North 3, Winnacunnet 2: In Hampton, Joe Berman allowed one earned run and three walks and struck out eight batters over six innings to earn the win. Casey Lane hit a solo home run while Will Brooks and Zach Iannone each had an RBI for Nashua North (9-6). Winnacunnet fell to 2-13.
Concord 6, Dover 5: In Concord, the Crimson Tide plated four runs in the seventh inning to secure the win. Zach Morrissey went 2-for-3 with a run scored and an RBI and Zach Miles had a hit and a run scored for Concord (11-5). Dover fell to 6-6.
Bishop Guertin 10, Keene 3: In Keene, Alex George recorded three hits, including a home run, and five RBIs and Brett Anderson added two hits for Bishop Guertin of Nashua (9-5). Keene dropped to 8-7.
Souhegan 8, ConVal 4: In Peterborough, Daniel Trzepacz belted three home runs and a double, driving in five runs for Souhegan of Amherst (6-4).
Jacob Grassett had a home run and Liam McGrath pitched five innings en route to the win for the Sabers. Manny Bowman had three hits and Duncan Cahoon and Michael Gutwein both hit solo home runs for ConVal (4-7).
Goffstown 6, John Stark 1: In Weare, Connor Hujsak earned the win, allowing three hits and striking out 12 over six innings. Derek Steckowych and Clay Campbell each had two RBIs for Goffstown (11-2). Brett Patnode logged two hits for John Stark (10-2).
Gilford 2, Fall Mountain 0: In Gilford, Isaac Wallace earned the shutout win, striking out five batters. Adrian Siravo logged a triple and a run scored for the Golden Eagles (12-0).
Prospect Mountain 13, Franklin 1: In Franklin, Chad Piwnicki tossed a one-hitter and struck out 18 on the mound and hit a home run at the plate for Prospect Mountain of Alton (4-6). Franklin dropped to 1-10.
Wilton-Lyndeborough 5, Derryfield 3: In Manchester, Wilton-Lyndeborough (10-1) scored three runs in the second inning off three Derryfield errors. Troy Brennan went 3-for-4 and his brother, Neal, allowed three runs on four hits and struck out 11 en route to the win for the Warriors. Colin McCaigue had a triple and Oliver Simon allowed two earned runs and one walk while striking out six over 6 ⅔ innings for Derryfield (5-5).
Pinkerton 18, Concord 4: In Derry, junior Kiley Davis logged three goals, including the 100th of her career, for Pinkerton (14-0). Meaghan Michaud also had a hat trick and Lily Auger logged a team-high five goals and three assists for the Astros. Concord dropped to 4-7.
Belmont 15, Trinity 6: In Manchester, Sarah Gagne recorded her first career goal and finished with a hat trick for Trinity (0-8). Nicole Calder scored twice, Erin O’Brien logged a goal and Kevynn Knoettner made seven saves for the Pioneers. Belmont improved to 1-10.
Souhegan 11, Nashua North 8: In Nashua, Troy Bottari logged five goals and Todd Redman added two goals and three assists for North (2-9). Ryan Palmer made 15 saves and Zac Maszczak won 16 faceoffs for the Titans. Souhegan of Amherst improved to 5-8.
Portsmouth 14, Dover 10: In Dover, Cam Lent logged four goals, Dom Silverio tallied two goals and three assists and Noah Schwartz made seven saves for the Green Wave (9-2). Portsmouth improved to 10-2.
Hopkinton 10, Campbell 4: In Hopkinton, Billy Randolph made 16 saves and Zach Wilson and Jake Hartwell each collected five ground balls for Campbell of Litchfield (1-9). Hopkinton improved to 10-0.
Derryfield 20, Pembroke 2: In Pembroke, Gunnar Senatore, Connor Glosner, John Anderson and Jon Maclean each had a hat trick for Derryfield School of Manchester (13-0). Jack Smart and Liam Wallace both scored for Pembroke (1-9).
Monadnock 17, Miford 12: In Swanzey, Gavin Urda logged five goals and Owen Clary added two goals and four assists for Milford (4-5). Jakob Fantasia also scored twice and Tim Gagnon made 15 saves for the Spartans. Monadnock improved to 7-2.
Goffstown 9, Timberlane 5: In Goffstown, Nick Mason recorded four goals and an assist and Eric Dubois scored twice for the Grizzlies (8-3). Andrew McCarthy and Alex McCarthy combined to win eight faceoffs for Goffstown. Matt Licata logged a team-high two goals for Timberlane (5-6).
Coe-Brown 8, Pembroke 7: In Pembroke last Friday, Jacob Radwan recorded five goals for Coe-Brown.
Pinkerton 3, John Stark 0: In Weare, Pinkerton Academy of Derry won, 25-18, 25-16. 25-15. Brian Castle recorded 32 assists and an ace, Hunter Hazard had 16 kills and Ty Behsman logged 11 service points for the Astros (12-2). John Stark fell to 1-11.
Bishop Guertin 3, Keene 1: In Nashua, Bishop Guertin won, 25-15, 20-25, 25-17, 25-21. Jack Wizboski had 15 kills and an ace and Connor Ogorchock added nine kills and two aces for BG (8-6). Keene dropped to 4-7.
Hollis/Brookline 3, Souhegan 0: In Amherst, Hollis/Brookline won, 25-16, 25-20, 25-16. Jonathan Brackett logged 17 kills and Mike Moscatelli had 11 digs for the Cavaliers (8-4). Souhegan dropped to 3-7.
