NHIAA Roundup: Murphy wins it for South; Urda lifts Milford

Freshman Jaden Murphy scored the game-winning goal in overtime to lift the Nashua South boys’ lacrosse team to a 7-6 victory at Hanover on Tuesday.

Senior Tyler Bernard had a hat trick for the Purple Panthers (7-7).

His third goal tied the game with 15 seconds left in regulation.

Drew Fleury scored twice, Devin Linscott tallied a goal and Nate Radin made 20 saves for Nashua South.

Graham Penfield led Hanover (5-9) in scoring with four goals.

Pete Warhold and Charlie Baughman each added a goal and Mason Winter made 10 saves for the Marauders.

Milford 17, Gilford 8: In Gilford, Gavin Urda led the way for Milford (5-5) with six goals and two assists. Owen Clary and Matt Hannon each scored twice and Owen Hutchinson tallied a goal and three helpers for the Spartans. Milford goalie Tim Gagnon made nine saves. Gilford dropped to 4-6.

Girls’ lacrosse

Laconia 21, Lebanon 11: In Lebanon, Skyler Tautkus and Becca Howe both scored eight goals for Laconia (7-2). Lebanon fell to 3-7.

Portsmouth 10, John Stark 7: At New England College in Henniker, Lily Madden scored five goals for Portsmouth (11-2), which held the Generals (10-1) to three goals in the second half.


Conant 2, Campbell 1: In Litchfield on Monday, Campbell pitcher James Cardello took the loss, allowing no earned runs and two hits alongside five strikeouts. Conant of Jaffrey improved to 6-6.
