Manchester police locate missing city man with dementia

MANCHESTER — A missing 69-year-old city man who suffers from dementia has been located, Manchester police said Wednesday night.

A subject line on an email from Public Information Officer Lt. Brian O’Keefe at 10 p.m. read, "Mr. James Coleman Has been located."

In the brief e-mail, O'Keefe said, "Thank you for your assistance, he was located and is safe."

No other details were provided.

Coleman was reported missing by his wife on Tuesday. She said he was gone when she woke up for work early Tuesday. Coleman suffers from multiple cognitive issues including dementia, she told police, and has been having a hard time dealing with it.
