NHIAA Roundup: Poff lifts Pelham; Londonderry lax team wins

Matt Poff pitched a seven-hitter, leading the host Pelham High baseball team past Souhegan 5-3 on Saturday.
Poff, a senior right-hander, fanned six and walked two. His counterpart, Liam McGrath, also pitched well, allowing four hits in a complete-game effort. None of the Pelham runs was earned.
Poff went 2-for-3 at the plate, and Reagan Brunelle and J.J. Jetson knocked in runs for the Pythons (7-6). The Sabers, who received two hits from Max Leonard, dropped to 7-6.
Portsmouth 23, Windham 4: In Windham, Jack Russo cracked four singles and had three RBIs, and Hunter Leroux-Porter added a double and two singles for four runs batted in, lifting the Clippers (14-1). Windham, which dropped to 8-5, received a double and single, for two RBIs, from JoJo Gallo
Londonderry 17, Souhegan 4: In Londonderry, 12 players scored for the Lancers (10-6), who struck for five goals in the first quarter and never looked back.
Mike McAlister led the goal parade with three, followed by Anthony Federico and Nate Andrews (two goals each) and Cole Keegan (two goals, one assist). Also scoring for Londonderry were Jeff Wiedenfeld, Jake Holland, James Cranmer, Derek Mower, Aidan Dennis, Mason Smith, Derek Felix and Ryan O’Neil.
Goalie Ross Caroll made eight saves. Scoring for Souhegan (5-10) were Ethan Hopey, Nicholas Jordan and Jaxon Weisberg.
