GLEN — Make some family memories at Story Land, where visitors can brave the Roar-O-Saurus wooden roller coaster, take a whirl inside the Crazy Barn, climb aboard Cinderella’s Pumpkin Coach and get splashed in Dr. Geyser’s Remarkable Raft Ride.

The children’s theme park, especially geared toward children 2 to 12, opens this weekend for its 65th season.

Hours will be 9:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday, Sunday and Memorial Day on Monday, May 28. Operation continues Fridays through Sundays through June 17, and then opens its daily summer schedule June 18. In addition, a Sensory Sensitive Weekend geared for those on the Autism Spectrum, will take place June 23-24.

New this year are visits from Daniel Tiger, the main character from the award-winning animated preschool series “Daniel Tiger’s Neighborhood.” Story Land has partnered with The Fred Rogers Company to debut a musical show, “Daniel’s Grr-ific Day!,” which opens Saturday in the Loopy Lab.
