Bichette, Guerrero go back-to-back in Fishers' win

Bo Bichette and Vladimir Guerrero Jr. clubbed back-to-back homers in the seventh inning as part of a top-of-the-order assault in the New Hampshire Fisher Cats’ 10-3 Eastern League victory over the Hartford Yard Goats before a crowd of 5,098 on Friday night at Northeast Delta Dental in Manchester.

Bichette, the No. 2 hitter in the order, had a triple and single to go with his homer, a three-run shot. He finished with four runs batted in and three runs scored. Guerrero, at No. 3, each, had two singles and the homer (his 10th), for two RBIs. He is batting .435.

Leadoff man Jonathan Davis contributed a pair of singles and scored twice. Cleanup hitter Cavan Biggio added a double, single and scored two runs. Combined, the top four hitters had 10 of New Hampshire’s 14 hits.

Jon Harris (3-3) earned the win, going 7 1/3 innings and allowing two runs (neither earned) on seven hits.

Brian Mundell homered for Hartford as part of a three-hit night.

The clubs continue their series downtown with a doubleheader today starting at 5:05 p.m.
