Fishers pummel Sea Dogs

A trio of Fisher Cats went deep in New Hampshire’s 5-3 win over the Portland Sea Dogs on Wednesday night at Northeast Delta Dental Stadium.
The teams will complete their four-game series today at 11:35 a.m.
Cavan Biggio homered in the first, his 13th of the season, scoring Toronto Blue Jays shortstop Aledmys Diaz to make it 2-0. Diaz is in New Hampshire on a rehab assignment.
Portland got single runs in the fourth, fifth and seventh to take a 3-2 lead before the Fisher Cats’ Connor Panas hit his second homer of the season in the seventh, to tie it, before Ryan Hissey socked his first round-tripper of the season to give New Hampshire the lead.
Gunnar Heidt’s RBI sacrifice fly scoring Bo Bichette gave the Fisher Cats an insurance run.
Kirby Snead (2-1) got the win with two innings of one-hit relief. New Hampshire starter Justin Dillon went six good innings, allowing eight hits and two runs.
The Fisher Cats hit the road after today’s game for a three-game series in Binghamton.
