University of New Hampshire senior Elinor Purrier led after 1,100 meters of the 1,500-meter run at the NCAA Outdoor Track & Field Championships on Saturday, but Oregon’s Jessica Hull outkicked her in the final 400 meters to earn the victory.
Purrier, a senior from Montgomery, Vt., took seventh in her final college race. She finished in 4 minutes, 11.56 seconds, nearly 3 seconds behind Hull.
Purrier led Hull by five-hundredths of a second with 400 meters to go.
