Losing Krauthammer

June 14. 2018 12:35AM

To the Editor: The silencing of Charles Krauthammer’s voice will be a terrible loss.

It isn’t just because he’s brilliant, balanced, and fair. It’s not just because he is strong or writes with depth on complex subjects, yet makes them accessible to everyone. It is because, in addition to all this, he has character, integrity, and high ethical standards at a time when these qualities are increasingly rare.

It is also that he writes with objectivity and honesty, devoid of any malice in a period where yellow journalism and meanness are the order of the day. I am deeply saddened by the downturn of his medical condition.
