NH Business Newsmakers: Stephen honored by advisor group

MANCHESTER — Charles L. Stephen was named 2018 Distinguished Financial Advisor for New Hampshire by the New Hampshire Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors in May. Stephen is a registered investment advisor with more than 25 years of experience.
He founded the Glenwood Investment Group LLC in 2003 and remains the managing member.
Bernard joins Catholic Charities
MANCHESTER — Catholic Charities New Hampshire appointed Alain J. Bernard as assistant vice president, healthcare services.
He will oversee the operations, financials, staffing and regulatory compliance of Catholic Charities healthcare services division, which consists of seven skilled nursing facilities and more than 700 staff.
Bolton joins high-tech board
MANCHESTER — The New Hampshire High Tech Council appointed Emily Bolton to its board of directors.
She will serve a three-year term that began June 1. Bolton joined Cook, Little, Rosenblatt & Mason pllc in 2015 as a corporate attorney and advises clients, including local startups and technology companies.
Bolton previously was with Pierce Atwood in Boston and Wadleigh, Starr, Peters in Manchester.
NHTI names alumni director
CONCORD — Laura Scott joined NHTI, Concord’s Community College, as the director of alumni and development. Scott previously worked for the Friends Program, where she was the development director for approximately two years. Prior to that, she served as the community development director for the town of Windham for seven years.
Goodhue named to nonprofit board
BEDFORD — James Goodhue, vice president and commercial loan officer for Primary Bank, was named to the Board of Children’s Scholarship Fund NH, a program that provides K-12 scholarships to empower low-income families to choose the schools that best fit their children’s needs.
Merchants Fleet names manager
HOOKSETT — Charles Mathew was named fleet operations manager by Merchants Fleet management. Mathew, who has more than 14 years of fleet experience, will lead the company’s factory order team.
Mathew has a bachelor of science from Ferris State University, as well as an associate degree in applied science, automotive technology, from Triton College.
Camden names Ehrler SVP
CAMDEN, Maine — Donna M. Ehrler was named senior vice president, director of commercial banking, for the New Hampshire region of Camden National Bank. Ehrler will be responsible for cultivating the bank’s commercial lending business in its New Hampshire and Northern Massachusetts markets.
Ehrler previously was senior vice president at Bar Harbor Bank & Trust, Northway Bank and Peoples United Bank.
