Vermont swept New Hampshire, 8-1 and 10-3 in Saturday’s Twin State Baseball Classic in White River Junction, Vt.

The sweep was the first in the four-year history of the border series.

New Hampshire was held to one hit in Game 1.

In the second game, New Hampshire MVP Max Lamora of Bishop Brady singled and doubled, scoring twice to give his team an early 3-1 lead. He came home on a RBI single by Charlie Lynch of Derryfield School in the first.

Lamora led off the third with a hard double down the left field line and scored on a sacrifice fly by Dan Heise of Mondanock. Lynch then scored on a wild pitch to make it 3-1.
