Bishop Brady hires new football coach

Jermaine McKenzie, who has coached in the Boston area, has been hired as the new football coach at Bishop Brady in Concord, director of athletics Annie Alosa announced on Monday.

McKenzie brings a wide array of football experiences from youth through high school including coaching at Cambridge Rindge and Latin, Cathedral High School, Matignon High School, and Boston Latin, according to his bio.

McKenzie graduated from Cambridge Rindge and Latin, where he played fullback, defensive tackle, and middle linebacker.

After graduation, he pursued an associates degree in graphic design and is currently continuing his education in hopes of becoming a teacher, according to his bio.

McKenzie is the co-founder of the City Youth Sports Training and Education Movement in Boston, a youth program.

McKenzie and his wife have three young children.

Brady finished 4-4 in Division III last fall.
