JEFFREY HUNTER

WOLFEBORO – An Ossipee man with a suspended license for drunk driving borrowed a temporary license plate to drive an unregistered vehicle home, according to police.

Local police stopped a Ford F150 pickup on Center Street shortly before 10 a.m. for displaying a temporary license plate from another vehicle.

When Officer Christopher Dustin ran a record check, he determined Jeffrey Hunter, 41, was driving under suspension following a DWI conviction.

Hunter was charged with operating after suspension and issued two citations for misuse of plates and driving an unregistered vehicle. He was released on $2,500 personal recognizance bond and is set to be arraigned Sept. 26 at 8 a.m. in 3rd Circuit Court, District Division in Ossipee.
