We lost a hero

September 11. 2018 10:32PM

To the Editor: We have lost an American hero. John McCain, who aspired to the presidency, exemplified the prerequisite characteristics for the office of grace, dignity, courage, personal honesty, and principled moral integrity. The same characteristics that, sadly, are utterly lacking in our current President who once assured us of McCain, “He’s not a war hero.”

Sorry, Mr. President, the late senator actually was the hero that you weren’t. While you were cowering at Studio 54 nursing your bone spurs and warding off the STDs that you referred to as your Vietnam, he was trying to relearn how to walk. He would have been the President that you fantasize you are.
