NH Business Newsreel: Forum addresses ‘recovery friendly’ workplaces

CONCORD — The Business and Industry Association is presenting a luncheon from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Sept. 19 at the Manchester Downtown Hotel, 700 Elm St., to help businesses become “recovery friendly” workplaces.
State organizers will talk about how to join the intiative led by Gov. Chris Sununu, how to obtain the “RFW” designation, and how to learn from early adopters about the benefits of declaring their businesses “recovery friendly.”
Scheduled panelists include: David Mara, governor’s adviser on addiction and behavioral health; Matt McKenney, workforce development manager, Hypertherm; Cheryl Coletti-Lawson, COO/CFO, The Lawson Group; and Daisy Pierce, executive director, Navigating Recovery of the Lakes Region.

Free shredding event in Nashua
NASHUA — Gary W. Pelletier, a wealth planner with Northeast Planning Associates Inc., will be offering free document shredding to his clients, associates and the general public from 9 a.m. to noon Saturday, Sept. 15, at his office at 39 Simon St,, Unit 1, Nashua.
Pelletier has arranged for a secure commercial shredding truck to be onsite to handle the shredding and disposal of the documents. A reusable shopper tote will be provided to all who participate (while supplies last). There is a maximum of five boxes of shred-ready paperwork per person.
