NHIAA Roundup: Pinkerton girls make Preston's goal stand

Reagan Kolinski’s seven saves earned her second shutout of the season, and Julia Preston scored a goal less than two minutes into the game as Pinkerton edged Goffstown, 1-0, in Division I girls’ soccer play Thursday in Goffstown.

The Astros are 3-2. The Grizzlies are 2-2-1.

Bedford 3, Windham 1: In Bedford, Shayna Salis’ hat trick kept the Bulldogs (4-0) unbeaten. Katelyn Hirnak made four saves for the clean sheet. Sam Bishop scored a late goal for Windham (2-3-1) assisted by Livvey Kendzulak. Jess Thibodeau made nine saves.

Trinity 0, Campbell 0: Pioneers keeper Sarah Ghiorzi saved the ball off the line in the first half to preserve the draw in Litchfield. Hannah Jaworski and Ashley Savage locked down the center of the field for Trinity, 4-1-1.

For 4-0-1 Campbell, Karleigh Schultz was disruptive from wide positions and Kate Stoncuis limited Trinity to few chances.

Boys’ soccer

Nashua North 1, Londonderry 0 (2 OT): In Nashua, the Titans got the win on a free kick in double overtime. The win helped North remain undefeated (5-0) while the Lancers dropped to 3-2.

Timberlane 2, Dover 0: In Plaistow, Cam Ross and Matt Barney scored goals for the Owls (2-3). Dover is 1-5.

Field hockey

Merrimack 6, Nashua North 0: On Wednesday in Nashua, Chloe Kapsambelis scored two goals and had an assist, and Hunter Webbs scored twice for the Tomahawks (4-1). Katie Cota and Dee Gonzalez added goals, and Heather Rohr made three saves.

Manchester Central 2, Concord 1: In Concord on Wednesday, Emily Ahern’s goal at 8:23 of overtime lifted Central to its first win. Katelyn Parker gave the Little Green (1-3) a first-half lead, but Concord (2-2-1) got even early in the second half on a goal by Kaitlyn McKinnon assisted by Carly Torrance. Central goalkeeper, Julia Pariseau made nine saves while Concord’s Ruby Garcia had 11 saves.

Girls’ volleyball

Newfound 3, Epping 0: In Epping on Wednesday, Addy Bickford had four aces, a kill and 14 digs for Epping. Anna Re had an ace, nine kills, seven digs and two blocks. Hayley Pelletier had an ace, seven kills and 10 digs.
