MANCHESTER — A city man is facing armed robbery charges, after police say he robbed a Domino’s restaurant at needlepoint Monday night.
Manchester police were called to the Domino’s Pizza restaurant at 212 Lowell St. around 6:44 p.m. to investigate a report of a robbery.
Upon arrival, they spoke with an employee who said a white male, standing approximately 5-foot-5 with short dark hair, wearing a blue shirt and a gold colored chain had robbed the business. The employee told police the man pulled out an uncapped hypodermic needle and threatened to use it on the employee.
The thief fled with an undisclosed amount of money. No injuries were reported.
Around 7:02 p.m., Manchester police located a man at Victory Park who matched the description of the thief involved in the Dominos holdup.
The man, identified by police as Steven Howard, 32, of Manchester, was subsequently arrested and charged with armed robbery and an unrelated arrest warrant. Howard is scheduled to appear in Hillsborough County Superior Court North today.
The investigation into this incident remains ongoing. Anyone with information is asked to contact Manchester police at 668-8711.
