McDonald’s raising funds for police group

McDonald’s franchisees across New Hampshire will spearhead a fundraising effort Oct. 3 to donate $50,000 to the New Hampshire Association of Chiefs of Police.

From 4 to 7 p.m., McDonald’s customers can lend support by purchasing a meal at their neighborhood McDonald’s.

All 54 McDonald’s restaurants in New Hampshire have committed to donating, and a percentage of the evening’s sales from customers will also contribute to the association.

During the fundraiser, a police officer and a cruiser will be on site at each McDonald’s from 4 to 7 p.m. The officers will meet and greet customers in addition to providing educational tips and information.

McDonald’s will recognize several officers who have gone beyond the line of duty as well as those officers who are highly invested in the community.
