MANCHESTER — Dartmouth-Hitchcock plans to invest $59 million to expand its Manchester clinic, including an ambulatory surgical center, medical infusion space and a fixed magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) unit.
The board of trustees of Dartmouth-Hitchcock Health announced Friday that they have approved the first phase of the expansion, with groundbreaking planned for next spring.
The investment and expansion plan was approved by the board at its quarterly meeting in Lebanon.
Dr. Joanne M. Conroy, CEO and president of Dartmouth-Hitchcock Health, hailed the move as “exciting news” and said the expansion will help the organization better serve patients in southern New Hampshire. “As we plan for Dartmouth-Hitchcock’s future, increasing access to care is a key strategic goal for us,” she said.
Upon completion of the expansion, the current endoscopy suite at the clinic will be renovated to include additional office space, according to a news release.
More details on the expansion will be released as planning, design and regulatory approval progress through the fall and winter, the release stated.
