Gatsas for Council: Experience in and out of government

October 08. 2018 9:55PM

The race for the Executive Council in District 4 features two successful, experienced businessmen.

But when it comes to public sector experience, there’s no contest. Ted Gatsas is the clear choice.

Before he entered politics, Gatsas built a family-owned business from scratch into a leading national staffing company.

Gatsas served as a Manchester alderman and state senator, and was elected Senate President in 2005. He was elected mayor of Manchester in 2009, serving four terms.

As mayor, Gatsas was a fierce watchdog for Manchester taxpayers, pushing back against aldermen eager to bust through the city’s tax cap. Gatsas focused additional revenue toward Manchester schools. He backed innovative ideas including the Manchester School of Technology and the Safe Station program.

The Executive Council serves a vital role in New Hampshire government, providing a check on the governor for state contracts and major appointments. It requires someone with both experience and independence.

From his time in Concord and as mayor of New Hampshire’s largest city, Gatsas knows every corner of state government. He would be an invaluable resource on the council.

Voters in District 4, stretching from Manchester to Lee, should choose Ted Gatsas.
