NHIAA Golf: Bedford wins title

The Bedford High golf team on Thursday won its fifth straight Division I state title.

The Bulldogs’s five scorers carded a collective 398 and beat runner-up Concord by 12 strokes in the rain at The Oaks Golf Links in Somersworth.

Elliot Wallace led Bedford with a 5-over par 76. C.J. Ladue (77), Brady Burke (80), Jonathan Giroux (81) and Owen Roberto (84) rounded out the scoring.

The Crimson Tide’s top golfer on Thursday was Sean McDonough, with an 80.

Hanover’s Peter Lukovits turned in the day’s best performance, a 75. Nashua North’s Bryce Zimmerman fashioned a 76.

Team scoring: 1, Bedford, 398; 2, Concord, 410; 3, Exeter, 414; 4, Pinkerton, 418; 5, Keene, 420; 6, Hanover, 426; 7, Timberlane, 437; 8, Spaulding, 439; 9, Alvirne, 446; 10, Nashua North, 448.

The Division III tournament set for Thursday at Laconia CC was rained out. Regular-season champ Bow was declared champ.
