It's a sure sign of spring: colored eggs hidden for kids to find......and we've "gathered" all of the Egg-citing Easter Egg Hunts taking place across the Granite State for you to find! Saturday, April 18
Merrimack: 10 a.m. - 11:30 a.m. - 23rd Annual Easter Egg Hunt - Wasserman Park. **Postponed from March 28. The Easter Bunny, in cahoots with Punxsutawney Phil has announced that due to the large amount of snow still on the ground he won’t be able to come to Wasserman Park on Saturday, March 28th as initially scheduled. After much deliberation; the Parks & Recreation Department has decided to postpone this year’s Annual Easter Egg Hunt until Saturday, April 18th. The Easter Bunny will be on hand in the Function Hall from 10 a.m. - 11:30 a.m. so bring your camera to take pictures of your child with the Easter Bunny! In addition, Merrimack Friends & Families will be holding a charitable bake sale during the event. This event is held rain or shine and all children should bring their own Easter basket to collect eggs. Manchester: 11 a.m. – 2 p.m. - 4th Annual Egg Hunt Eggstravaganza – Paw Prints Photography presents your Egg Hunt Eggstravaganza benefiting the Manchester Animal Shelter. Gather up the kids and hop on over to the Manchester Animal Shelter Grounds where kids are welcome to partake in our free community Egg Hunt. Eggs with candy, money, tattoos and star prize eggs. There will be a craft table also - free for all children to partake in with a coloring contest. Be sure to check out the raffle table with beyond generous individuals and businesses who donated items up for grabs. We will have baked goods, face painters, balloon twisters, greats giveaways, and other awesome kid family FUN entertainment. Some activities will carry a $5 donation, but most activities are free. We love working with the kids but we also as that you remember why we host this event, to support all the 4-legged friends residing at the Manchester Animal Shelter. Bring your own basket. Bow: 10 a.m. SHARP! - Easter Egg Hunt - Bow Elementary School. For grades 4 and under.
Brookline: 10 a.m. - Community Egg Hunt Rolling - Captain Samuel Douglas Academy, 24 Townsend Hill Road. Children up to 6th grade are invited to participate. The egg hunt will take place in the snow so please dress accordingly and be prepared to slip and slide. Rain date is Sunday, March 29. Join us as we hunt for spring!
Durham: 11 a.m. - 21st Annual Egg Hunt - Town Landing.
Epping: 10:30 a.m.-11:30 a.m. - EES Field. This is a FREE event for Epping children, following the Epping EES PTO's Breakfast with the Easter Bunny Fundraiser in the EES Gym.
Hampton: 11 a.m. - Easter Egg Dig - Hampton Beach, Main Beach at the Seashell Stage. The Easter Bunny will be joining us once again with thousands of eggs hidden in the sand. Find a golden egg and win a special surprise! Don't forget to bring your shovel and pail. **date subject to change due to snow melt**
Hopkinton: 10 a.m. - 1 p.m. - Easter Egg Hunt - Hopkinton High School for a fun Easter Egg Hunt! Meet the Easter bunny and get your picture taken with him! The hunt is appropriate for ages up to 3rd grade. Don't forget to bring your basket! This event is FREE and no registration is required.
Keene: 10 a.m. - 12 p.m. - 2nd Annual Community Easter Egg Hunt - Praxis Church invites you to join them outside Symonds School at 79 Park Ave. Rain Date: Sat., April 4. This FREE event is designed for kids ages 10 and below and will include: The Praxis Bunny, an age specific egg hunt, music, food, prizes, crafts, and more. Complimentary Easter bags will be provided for each participant to use and take home. Parents! We haven't forgotten you, so please make sure to grab a good cup of coffee and sign up for several FREE raffle items including: Gift Cards To Some Great Local Restaurants. Meredith: 10 a.m. - 2 p.m. - Community Easter Egg Hunt - Meredith Community Center, One Circle Dr. Registration is required and begin at 9:30 a.m., with times for hunts varying depending on child's age. Join us for our climbing wall, jumpy house, face painting, spin art, arts and crafts, photos with the Easter Bunny and much more! Light refreshments will be available during the event.
Merrimack: 10 a.m. - 1 p.m. - Merrimack Premium Outlets Easter Eggstravaganza - Merrimack Premium Outlets, 80 Premium Outlets Blvd. While supplies last. Children can join us for an Easter Egg hunt, look for egg decals on over 40 participating retailer’s windows. Randomly selected Easter eggs will contain special prizes. The Easter Bunny will hop while you shop so make sure to bring your camera to capture the candid moments.
Pelham: 11 a.m. - 1 p.m. - Easter Egg Hunt - Village Green. Weather permitting. Please join us for great family fun time at the Village Green in front of the Town Hall and the Pelham Town Library. Have children dress for weather conditions. Open to boys and girls, up to age 8! Egg hunt will include candy and/or toy filled eggs. Areas will be sectioned off by ages. Parents are expected to stay with their child. The hunt starts promptly at 12 pm and typically is done in very short order. If you arrive at 12:05 pm, you may miss it! Rain/snow date: April 4
Windham: 9:30 a.m. - Annual Easter Egg Hunt - Update: due to the amount of snow we have, we may have the event at an indoor site instead. Please check here for updates! (Hoping for one of the schools.) Egg Hunt is for boys and girls up to age 9. Children are divided into age groups to 'hunt' at different times. It is strongly recommended to arrive 5-10 minutes before your hunt time. The Easter Bunny will be hopping around for you to take pictures with between 9:30-10:30 am. (Please bring your own camera.) Event happens rain, snow, sleet, or shine. Times as follows: 9:45 a.m. - Hunt for ages 3-5, 10 a.m. - Hunt for ages 0-2, 10:30 a.m. Hunt for ages 6-9.
Friday, April 3
Exeter: 4:30 p.m. SHARP - Egg Hunt - Swasey Parkway. The Easter Bunny will be at our hunt again this year. Swasey Parkway will be filled with brightly colored Easter eggs with a few special eggs. Join us rain, snow or shine for this fun event. Light refreshments are served at the end of this event with a chance to get pictures with the bunny too. There will be two hunts, grade two and under and grades 3-5 with baskets for "special eggs" found.
Farmington: 8 p.m. - Flashlight Easter Egg Hunt - Join us in Fernald Park to hunt for eggs filled with candy and toys. This free “rain or shine” event is for children under 14 years old. All children should be accompanied by an adult! Don’t forget your flashlight and a bag or basket to hold your eggs. Donations are greatly appreciated.
Newport: 11 a.m. – 4th Annual Easter Candy Drop – Parlin Field, on the turf runway by the North Newport Covered bridge. The runway is seeded with several thousand Easter eggs and 5 aircraft drop several hundred bags of candy from them. This has become a favorite event for the pilots and the community.
Somersworth: 4:30 p.m., SHARP! - Easter Egg-Stravaganza Egg Hunt - Millennium Park Join the Easter Bunny for the City’s annual Easter Egg Hunt. Be sure to bring a basket or bag to help collect all the colorful and prize-filled plastic eggs. For children ages 9 and under. This event is rain or shine.
Saturday, April 4
Alton: 9 a.m. - 11 a.m. - B&M Railroad Park. Weather permitting. Colorful, plastic eggs filled with candy will be hidden throughout the park. Parking is available on Main St. or at B&M Railroad Park. Please join us and bring a container to collect your eggs in. A craft activity will be offered by the Little Pesaukees Playgroup if you'd like to participate. Children are divided by age and are instructed on how many eggs to collect; once you find the maximum number of eggs you check in to receive a special prize.
Atkinson: 11 a.m. - 11:30 a.m. - Woodlock Park Lane, Atkinson.
Barrington: 10:45 a.m. - Library Egg Hunt - Barrington Public Library, 105 Ramsdell Ln.
Bedford: 2 p.m. - Easter Bonnet Parade and Egg Hunt - Bedford Village Common Park (rain location: Town Hall). The Easter Bunny will lead the children along the pathway of the Bedford Village Common Park in an Easter Bonnet Parade. So make your most Easter-ish Bonnet and show it off during the parade, you might even win a PRIZE!! Following the Bonnet Parade we will have an Easter Egg Hunt. Children will be separated into age categories for the Egg Hunt for the most fun. So be creative and start working on those Easter Bonnets today. Don't forget to bring your favorite Easter Egg hunting basket.
Brentwood: 8:45 a.m. - Egg Hunt and Bunny Breakfast - The Recreation Department will be hosting our Annual Bunny Breakfast and Town Egg Huntat the Recreation Area on Route 125. The Egg Hunt will start promptly at 8:45 a.m. and the Bunny Breakfast will run 9:00-10:30 a.m. The Easter Bunny will be there to visit with kids and parents are welcome to bring their cameras and take pictures. Breakfast Cost: $5 for adults and $3 for kids. The Egg Hunt is free to town residents.
Bristol: 1 p.m. - Easter Egg Egggggstravaganza! - Come to the Tapply-Thompson Community Center and see what you can find. Visit with the Easter Bunny, get your face painted, enter a picture in the coloring contest, win prizes. No registration required, donations accepted at the door. Come for a day packed with tons of candy, tons of prizes, tons of fun. Questions, call 744-2713.
Center Harbor: 10 a.m. - Easter Egg Hunt - Municipal Building, 36 Main St., food, prizes and crafts at the Fire Station.
Claremont: 9:30 a.m., children 1st grade and Younger. 10:30 a.m., 2nd Grade and older. This annual event will be held on the hill behind Arrowhead Lodge. Come meet the Easter Bunny, hunt for eggs, and visit with your friends! Wear your mud boots and remember your Easter Baskets! In the event of inclement weather, the egg hunt will be moved to the CSBCC, right across the street. Free to all.
Hanover: 10 a.m. - 37th Annual Egg-Stravaganza Egg Hunt - R.W. Black Center, 48 Lebanon St. Remember your basket to collect your eggs, and don't be late!
Hooksett: 9:30 a.m. - 11:30 a.m. - Easter Egg Hunt - Hooksett Public Library, 31 Mount St. Mary's Way. Library-wide egg hunt for all ages. Enjoy crafts, games, a visit from the Easter Bunny and more. This is a great event for the whole family to enjoy! No registration required. Egg Hunts will begin at 10 a.m. with babies and toddlers, followed by preschoolers (ages 3-5) at 10:30 a.m. and children ages 6+ at 11 a.m.
Keene: 10 a.m. - Annual Easter Egg Hunt - Fuller Park on Washington St., for Keene resident youngsters age 3-8 years old. Bring your basket for collecting. Sponsored by KPRD & Price Chopper and Ye Goodie Shoppe.
Milford: 11 a.m. - 1 p.m. - Easter Egg Hunt - Keyes Park, Milford. Photos with the Easter Bunny, bake sale, bunny hop sack races, egg races. Races based on ages, beginning at 11:15 a.m.
New London: 9 a.m. - Easter Egg Hunt, New London Town Common. Ages 3 and under. Easter Eggs, photos with the Easter Bunny, prizes and treats. Bring a decorated Easter Basket.
Newmarket: 8:30 a.m. - 10:30 a.m. - Eggcellent Easter Egg Hunt - Community Center. Join us for this fun, family friendly event! Children up to age 12 are invited to hunt for filled eggs and prizes. Children are broken up into age groups and will be hunting at different times throughout the morning. Cost for the Easter Egg Hunt is $3/child plus 1$ for each additional child per family. We will also have fun activities and games including face painting, Easter egg decorating, raffles and other Easter themed carnival game fun. Have your child’s picture taken with the Easter Bunny! Cost for the indoor activities (coordinated by Great Bay Kid Co. of Newmarket) is based upon the # of tickets per activity. Tickets are 4/$1. We strongly suggest that you allow for additional time to park and walk to the specific location for your child’s hunt location. The eggs go quickly and start times are right on the nose.
Northwood: 10 a.m. SHARP! - Easter Egg Hunt - Northwood Elementary School, 511 1st New Hampshire Turnpike. Join the Recreation Department for the 5th annual Easter Egg Hunt. Visit with the Easter Bunny and race for the Golden Egg. Be sure to bring something to collect eggs in. Ages: 10 and under.
Ossipee: 9 a.m. SHARP! - Ossipee Central School Gym and Fields. For children through the age of 12.
Portsmouth: 10:30 a.m. - Annual Easter Egg Hunt - Langdon Park, located across from City Hall on Junkins Ave. For Portsmouth Residents Only. There will also be face painting, and some other special activities going on for the kids as well as a visit from the Easter Bunny himself. The hunt, for pre-school age only begins at 10:30 a.m., followed by the K-2 grade hunt at 11:30 a.m. Eggs and prizes for everyone. On the beginner trail “Snowcat Trail.” Treats and other special prizes will be found within the eggs including one that holds a 2015/16 Junior/Young Adult Granite Season Pass.
