Manchester Police seek Elm Street bank robber

MANCHESTER — City police are looking for a man they say robbed the St. Mary’s Bank on Elm Street Monday afternoon.

According to Manchester police, a man entered the St. Mary’s Bank location at 234 Elm St. around 2:30 p.m. Monday, and passed a note to the teller demanding money. The teller complied, and the man fled the bank on foot east on Valley St. with an undisclosed amount of money.

The thief is described as a heavy set white male in his early 30’s, standing approximately 5’7” with light facial hair, and green or hazel eyes.

According to police, the thief was last seen wearing a black sweatshirt, white t-shirt, white hat and white sneakers.

Officers were unable to track the man using a police K9.
