BOW — A Webster man was arrested early Saturday after Bow police say he attacked them with wooden sticks behind a local convenience store.
According to police, officers responded to a report of an assault at All Town Convenience Store, 1516 Route 3A in Bow, around 1:45 a.m. Saturday.
According to police a man identified as Cobie Gregory, 49, of Webster, ran into the woods behind the store before officers arrived.
According to police, Gregory — armed with wooden sticks — became belligerent and began fighting with officers.
Gregory was eventually pepper-sprayed and captured by a state police K9 before being taken into custody.
While in custody, police said Gregory continued to act belligerently, and was spitting and fighting with officers. Gregory was transported to an area hospital for evaluation, then the Merrimack County House of Corrections.
Gregory was charged with simple assault, resisting arrest, two counts of criminal threatening and disorderly conduct.
He was released on $10,000 personal recognizance bail and is scheduled to be arraigned in Concord District Court on July 24 at 8:30 a.m.
