Man sought in robbery of Manchester convenience store

MANCHESTER — City police are seeking the public’s help in identifying a man who robbed a Manchester convenience store Wednesday afternoon at gunpoint.

According to Manchester police Sgt. Robert Gravelle, around 3:30 p.m. Wednesday officers responded to Mr. Market Convenience Store, 297 Spruce St., to investigate a report of an armed robbery. Acccording to Gravelle, the thief showed a handgun while demanding money from a store clerk.

The clerk handed over an undetermined amount of cash to the thief, who then fled the store on foot. No injuries were reported.

According to Gravelle, the clerk described the robber as a Hispanic male in his 30s, standing about 5-feet, 7 inches with dark hair and a thin build.

Anyone with information regarding this robbery is asked to call Manchester police at 668-8711, or the Manchester Crime Line at 624-4040 and leave an anonymous crime tip.
