MANCHESTER — Officials wrapped up a two-day search in a West Side forest for a body and any other evidence connected to the 1980 disappearance of Manchester resident Denise Ann Daneault.
“Nothing of immediate significance was found,” New Hampshire homicide prosecutor Jeffery Strelzin said in an email.
This week was the second time in a half year’s time that searchers have concentrated on a small area in the massive Black Acres, a wooded area behind the Kimball Street housing project.
Searchers used cadaver-sniffing dogs to hone in on an area and have been using heavy equipment to dig and scrape up topsoil.
Daneault, the mother of two small children, went out socializing on June 18, 1980, and was never seen or heard from again.
