WEARE — Police are investigating an act of vandalism incident at a recreation field that happened early Monday morning.

Police said they found tire tracks — as if someone did doughnuts with their vehicle — on Ineson Memorial Field. The field is located off Quaker Street and is used by various town recreation groups.

“This will affect dozens of kids who use the field six days a week and who have just begun their soccer season,” police wrote in a post on their Facebook page.

The incident remains under investigation. Anyone with information is asked to contact police at 529-7755.
