City woman pulled over for speeding accused of having meth, crack cocaine

MANCHESTER - A city woman pulled over for speeding at Brown and Queen City avenues Tuesday night was arrested on drug and other charges, police said.

Officers said they saw a 2017 Chevrolet going more than 45 mph in the 30-mph zone at about 10:55 p.m. and pulled over the car.

Jessica Shepard, 34, at first gave a false name and got out of the car while yelling at police before she was arrested on a charge of disobeying police as well as on an active warrant from Hillsborough County Superior Court North, police said.

Officers found 4.2 grams of methamphetamine and 2.8 grams of crack cocaine when they searched Shepard, police said, so she also was charged with possession of a controlled drug, possession of controlled drugs with intent to distribute and operating after suspension, second offense.
