HOOKSETT — A father and daughter were arrested Wednesday night after police stopped what they called a suspicious vehicle on Sunset Boulevard.

Dennis Gross, 47, initially gave officers a fake name when police pulled over a pickup truck at 10:52 p.m., police said. Officers found Karleigh Gross, 19, hiding under a tarp in the back of the truck, police said.

During a search, police said they found a baggy of heroin inside Karleigh Gross’ purse, and she was arrested on a charge of possession of controlled drugs. Dennis Gross was arrested and charged on an electronic bench warrant and with obstructing government administration, police said.

Dennis Gross was released on $885 personal recognizance bail and is scheduled to appear in Hooksett circuit court Oct. 18. Karleigh Gross was released on $1,000 personal recognizance bail and is scheduled to appear in Merrimack County Superior Court Sept. 20, police said.
