Goffstown couple arrested for alleged sexual assault of underaged girl
GOFFSTOWN — A Goffstown couple faces charges in connection with the alleged sexual assaults of an underage female.
David Cazares, 45, now faces 10 charges: aggravated felonious sexual assault; attempted aggravated felonious sexual assault; two charges of endangering the welfare of a child; two indecent exposure charges; two criminal solicitation charges; and two sexual assault charges.
The last eight charges are all Class A misdemeanors, while the first two are Class A felonies.
Cazares was arraigned Thursday and ordered held at the Valley Street jail in Manchester on $25,000 cash bail. It was initially set at $100,000 cash.
His girlfriend, Cristal Bell, 46, faces two counts of endangering the welfare of a child. She was released on $1,000 cash bail.
Both are scheduled to appear in court again on August 23.
The charges stem from alleged sexual assaults of the underage girl — known to both Cazares and Bell — during 2014 and 2015.
Bell’s charges stem from an unspecified involvement in the alleged crimes.
Cazares also is facing a Class A misdemeanor sexual assault charge from Dunbarton police as well. That charge stems from an August 2014 incident where he allegedly forced the same victim to perform a sex act while the two were on the ATV trails off Ray Road in Clough State Park.
The victim was 14 years old at the time, according to court documents.
The Goffstown investigation was conducted by members of the town's police department and the N.H. Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force. In addition, Dunbarton, Portsmouth, Bedford, Nashua, Concord, Salem, Hudson, and the Mont Vernon police departments also assisted in the investigation, as did the U.S. Department of Homeland Security and New Hampshire state police.
