Man taken to Boston hospital with self-inflicted gunshot wound

HUDSON — Police say a man with a self-inflicted gunshot wound was taken to a Boston hospital Thursday afternoon.
Officers with the Hudson Police Department responded shortly before 1:30 p.m. to the Granite State Indoor Range and Gun Shop for reports of a person who allegedly suffered a gunshot wound to the head.
The patient was transported from the range at 2 Hampshire Drive to Southern New Hampshire Medical Center in Nashua for treatment. He was later transferred to Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston; his condition remains unknown.
There is no danger to the public, according to Hudson police.
Employees at the gun range said the facility was cleared out for police to conduct an investigation and declined to comment further. Officers reported there were several witnesses on scene and that the case remains under investigation.
