Manchester man to serve 14 years for possessing illegal firearms

September 13. 2018 9:37AM

CONCORD — Manchester resident Daniel Sullivan has been sentenced to 14 years in federal prison for illegal possession of firearms, federal prosecutors announced.

Sullivan, 35, appeared in U.S. District Court in May and pleaded guilty to four counts of firearm possession by a convicted felon. Prosecutors said he used a partner, Sara Johnson, to purchase firearms from people who listed them for sale online. Johnson was not a convicted felon.

She is scheduled to be sentenced on Sept. 20.

“Keeping guns out of the hands of criminals helps to make our community safer,” U.S. Scott Murray said.
