February 12. 2018 9:17AM

LYNN JOHNSTON

MERRIMACK — A Manchester woman faces several charges after police said she left the scene of an accident Jan. 30.

Lynn Johnston, 49, of 346 Milton St., Apt. 1, was arrested Sunday on a warrant and charged with being a habitual offender, a Class B felony, and disobeying a police officer and conduct after an accident, each Class A misdemeanors, police said.

Police said Johnston walked away after being in an accident in the area of Bedford Road and the Exit 12 off-ramp of the F.E. Everett Turnpike Jan. 30. Officers said she tried to hide in an area business when she saw police arrive and gave a false name to officers, police said.

Johnston turned herself in Sunday and was released on $2,000 cash-only bail. She is scheduled to appear in Hillsborough County Superior Court South on March 1.
