NEW LONDON - Three Colby-Sawyer College students are charged with hosting an under-age drinking party after more than 100 students were taken into custody at an off-campus house Friday night.

DOVER - Police arrested Middle School Principal Larry DeYoung after he failed a field sobriety test late Sunday afternoon. This is DeYoung's second DWI arrest. The city's school board knew of the December 2008 incident, but did not punish him because it occurred on a weekend during Christmas vacation.
With flu spreading, some school officials worry that they could end up with a shortage of substitutes if too many classroom teachers get sick.
DURHAM - Updated, 11:53 a.m. The University of New Hamsphire and its faculty union are at impasses after the union rejected a proposed one-year contract that included a 1.5 percent pay hike, 1 percent across the board and the other half percent awarded for merit.
CONCORD - School districts hoping to win state aid for new school buildings next March may have to wait a year.
FREMONT - Updated, 9:12 a.m. A car struck a utility pole early this morning, cutting off power to an area that included the Ellis School. The opening of school was delayed by two hours but officials are considering canceling classes entirely if power is not restored soon.
LONDONDERRY - Nearly one in five students enrolled in the Londonderry School District was listed as out sick yesterday, with many reporting flu-like symptoms.
